GARAGE PIONEER DJ EZ RAISES £87,900 FOR MIND CHARITY
Garage music legend DJ EZ announced recently on social media that he has raised over £87,900.00 for MIND charity, an incredible organisation that helps people struggling with mental health.
DJ EZ posted a heartfelt message on his Instagram, stating:
Waking up to donations of £87,900.00 and counting for MIND is overwhelming! ❤️
We wanted to put on another 24 hour set to help lift people's spirits in these dark times. Music really does bring people together and MIND is a charity whose work is very close to all our hearts. Their total dedication to supporting people’s mental health makes a real difference every day.
Thank you all so very much for supporting me through the set, thank you to the brilliant teams at Defected Records and NUVOLVE, and everyone who worked remotely behind the scenes pulling this together. A special mention to Simon Dunmore, the man who of course founded Defected and started its incredible legacy, for doubling the total.
Last but certainly not least, a huge thank you to my friend and manager Paul Marini who, as always, went above and beyond in making this happen. Paul is on my right in the picture, which was taken as we went past the 24-hour mark!
Thank you once again to those who listened and locked in, to those who donated and supported us. Your messages and comments throughout the stream really touched us and gave me the energy to keep going... The next few months may still hold some challenging times but if we all support each other we can all keep going and we will get through this.
Donations remain open for anyone who would still like to support, please click the link in bio.
Much Love to you all.
