WE GET LOCKDOWN, BUT WE GET UP AGAIN
Another day, in 2020, and … another lockdown. Same same but different to the last one, still no less of a struggle for most of us. Time alone, or too much time spent with those we live with, can stir up a whole world of wtf. That’s why we’re continuing to stay open, with permission from the government and local council, and keep running our FREE educational programmes for young children. Every weekday, from 3pm to 6pm, we have 4 spaces open to 11-16 year olds, in our After School Music Club.

We’re doing all that we can to continue to provide a safe and happy environment to those who need it most. We are adhering to social distancing guidelines, maintaining a clean space, and ensuring that face coverings are worn. Temperatures are taken on arrival, and meeting times are set accordingly to reduce the duration of shared space.
On Wednesday 4th November we were relieved to hear the news that professional recording studios and music video productions can continue, under the new Lockdown rules; Michael Dowden stated:
‘Arts venues are places of work, so people can come into them for work. This includes rehearsals and performance. Audiences are not permitted.’
This was music to our ears. We are very fortunate to be able to continue this work of providing a safe space for young people, as well as providing a warm and friendly service to the many talented musicians and artists who record at our Pepper St. Studio.
