WORKS CAFE JOIN THE FREE MEALS CAMPAIGN
In the midst of Marcus Rashford pushing for our community of young people and fighting for their right to a hot school meal. We are delighted that our local cafe The Works has endorsed Marcus Rashford’s campaign and is now providing free school meals for the children of our community.
We believe every child has the right to grow up without any type of poverty. Children don’t deserve to starve and it takes a knock on their mental health and ability to learn. We want to create a community of young people that get what they need so they can perform to their full potential and make the right decisions for their future.
The works Cafe in Aberfeldy, Poplar are providing our classes with free lunch off the back of Marcus Rashford’s campaign. We are elated to offer this as part of the package to our children who come from food poverty homes. We provide the classes for children of a similar background whether it be coming from a gang environment; single parent homes or finding it hard to fit in.
The Works Cafe is the social hub for Poplar Works which is a large space that is publicly funded to support anyone working in fashion: designers, makers, jewellers, experienced business owners, and first year start ups. The Cafe provides breakfast lunch and dinner for over 40 Spaces and more. They are a light in a time of dark for many children and struggling parents.
Thank you to Marcus, and The Works for making it possible to provide even more to our young generation.
