THE GREAT GET TOGETHER

3 (1).png

Start Date: Saturday, 1ST July 2023

Address: Queen Elizabeth, Olympic Park, London

Time: 12PM - 5PM

Overview

The Great Get Together is back at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on 1 July!

Studio Futurall is collaborating once again with Sirlute at this year's The Great Get Together celebration. The goal of the day is to engage visitors, community members and young people with untold stories about the histories and futures of Stratford. In the first half of the residency, we will learn about the heritage, history and local memories of Stratford to tell stories that underpin the area's cultural identity. From there, we will conduct experiments in re-imagining and re-inventing these narratives for the future with young people and the local community.

Bring your family and friends to our free community event on the Park this Summer. This fun-filled day will showcase the best of East London and keep you entertained all afternoon!

What's more, this day will allow you to be among the first to experience East Bank, with these arts and culture venues opening to the public later this year. The industry-leading East Bank partners like V&A, Sadler's Wells, BBC, UCL and London College of Fashion will be running a range of fun and engaging activities alongside exciting performances!

last year was a blast, with two of our YoungStars LMR and Rachael Ridley showing off their amazing talents and performing on stage. As well as Sirlute collaborating with Social Ark to deliver several fun family activities, that really brought an extra buzz to the day.

We look forward to seeing you there!

What you will learn

Join us for an action packed day, where you'll get the chance to use your creativity and imagination to make films about the past and future of Stratford.

You'll learn how to use storytelling, imagination techniques to create engaging and thought-provoking videos that will capture the essence of this vibrant neighbourhood.

You'll get the opportunity to work with like-minded individuals to play games, brainstorm ideas and learn from each other's perspectives and experiences.
